Engineering Surface Chemistry

This course is designed to provide students with an appreciation of the principles of the chemical processes which are commonly used in the engineering industry.

The course comprises six modules which deal with the basis of chemical processes.

Students are assessed for comprehension and progress during the course by use of a multi choice questionnaire.

The course includes, but is not limited to the following:-

- Acids, bases and pH
- Chemical reactions
- Corrosion
- Surface cleaning
- Electrolytic processes
- Health and Safety, and Environmental issues.

Lunch, refreshments and a full set of course notes will be provided during the course.
