Mr. D.J. Clarke

David Clarke served an apprenticeship in aeronautical engineering with the British Aircraft Corporation before joining Bristol Composite Materials as a Test Engineer. He became the Company NDT Engineer in 1979 and worked in that capacity controlling the NDT functions of the company for over 20 years. He holds ASNT Level 3 certification and has experience in Radiographic Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Penetrant Testing, Thermal Testing and Visual Testing. He has special expertise in the testing of composite parts for aircraft and has been involved in a variety of technique development projects including the use of automated scanning systems.

David is an Incorporated Engineer, a Member of British Institute of NDT, a member of the American Society for Non-destructive Testing and an Associate Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society. He is an active member of his local NDT branch serving on the committee as vice-chairman, having served 2 years as Chairman.
